Dr. Grimm was born and raised in Iowa City. She attended the University of Iowa where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Having always known she wanted to be in the healthcare field, she decided to pursue dentistry. Dr. Grimm attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where she received her doctoral degree in 2002.

Immediately after graduating, Dr. Grimm furthered her education with a residency in general dentistry at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Her residency provided her with advanced training in medically compromised patients, including mentally and physically handicapped patients of all ages. She has been in private practice for the last ten years.

In July of 2007, Dr. Grimm took over Riverside Family Dental from Dr. Tracey Hughes. In June 2016, Dr. Grimm acquired Maxwell Dental in Kalona from Dr. John Maxwell. In June 2020 Dr. Grimm consolidated her two practices into one new location at 1206 E Avenue in Kalona where she now owns and operates Kalona Family Dental.

Dr. Grimm looks forward to serving Washington County and the surrounding area for a lifetime. She is constantly refining and updating her skills in order to provide her patients with the latest advancements in dentistry. Dr. Grimm maintains memberships with American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, Johnson County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

When Dr. Grimm is not practicing dentistry she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Her daughter enjoys dancing and keeps the family busy attending dance competitions. Her son loves sports and participates in baseball, basketball, and golf. Dr. Grimm’s hobbies include golfing, gardening, cooking, and entertaining.
